This book is a collection of short stories focusing on the love life of many famous cricketers and their affair with Bollywood divas. It is not a fictional book which is inspired from real life couples , instead it is based on true events that conspired in some of the greatest love stories between celebrity couples. Everyone reads the newspapers or Page 3 for that inside scoop and thus, our curious minds will make us love this book for unfolding the truth behind those news headlines we read.


Review:

I am not much of a short story person and i generally dont pick up such books but also just like majority of the people i am truly fascinated by the glamour world and one of my favorite thing to do is to search about the latest happenings in the love life of our celebrity couples. So , the concept of this book by Sourabh Mukherjee appealed to me instantly. Also, it is a short book that i finished in one day and didn't get bored even for a second. It is short , honest and does what it's title suggests giving us a flavor of the famous love that blossomed between cricketers and Bollywood divas.

This book covers love stories between 6 couples namely , Mansoor Ali Khan and Sharmila Tagore, Sir Viv. Richards and  Neena Gupta, Sir Garfield Sobers and Anju Mahendru, Imran Khan and Zeenat Aman, Mohsin Khan and Reena Roy, Mohammad Azharuddin and Sangeeta Bijlani. 

The points that i liked in this book are many but first of all it has the perfect length for each story not focusing too much on any one couple and giving equal space to each. Not for a second i got bored reading any of the story and it was quite refreshing to read in detail about the celebrities we have heard about .
The author has made a point to give a little background about everyone so that it is easier to know and recall who we are reading about. All major points that could make or break their story are mentioned and i like the writing style that did not focus too much on any one aspect.

One point that would have made the book better for me is if the author would have focused a little more on how their love life was. I mean their is a lot on how it led to love and how it went afterwards like marriage or divorce . I understand that it is a non fiction book and these are the facts easily available in the media but a little more depth on how their love life  was and some more instances of their time together would have been interesting to know .

All in all , it is a short, simple and a nice to read book . Kind of like browsing through a magazine and reading articles but with more details and less unnecessary controversies. I hope the author covers more such couples in the next part because now we have Virushka and people would love to know their story too . :)
